Breast reduction
Introduction
Breast reduction surgery combines aesthetic and reconstructive techniques to
decrease the volume of the breast and reposition the breast tissue.
It is indicated in women
who present discomfort due to excessive size, such as pain in the neck, shoulders or back,
irritations on the skin under the breast, limitation to perform physical activities or
aesthetic dissatisfaction.
Surgical procedure
The procedure consists of removing the excess gland, fat and skin, reshaping the shape
of the breast and relocating the areola and nipple to achieve a harmonious result.
The specific technique is adapted to the characteristics of each patient.
Recovery
Recovery usually lasts between 14 and 21 days, a time in which post-operative care must be followed
to ensure adequate healing and optimal results.
