    Otoplasty

    Introduction
Otoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to correct the shape and position of the ears, achieving a more balanced and aesthetic appearance. Generally, the incision is made in the posterior crease of the ear, which leaves an almost imperceptible scar.

This treatment is indicated for both men and women, and can be performed from 7 years of age, when the growth of the auricle is almost complete and the patient can express their desire to undergo the procedure.

    Procedure
Otoplasty is performed under local anesthesia and does not require hospitalization, being an outpatient procedure. The patient can return home the same day.

The recovery period is fast, and the use of an elastic band around the head for 10 to 14 days is recommended to ensure the correct fixation and position of the ears.
