    Otoplasty (Ears)

    Introduction
Otoplasty is the surgical procedure that allows the correction of the shape and position of the ears. Typically, the incision is located in the posterior fold of the ear, leaving an almost imperceptible scar. This procedure is performed on both men and women. The minimum age for the procedure is 7 years old, when the auricle has nearly completed its growth, and the patient is capable of requesting the procedure on their own.

    Procedure
This procedure is performed under local anesthesia and does not require hospitalization, meaning it is an outpatient procedure, and the patient goes home the same day. The recovery period is quick, and the use of an elastic headband is recommended for 10 to 14 days to maintain the position of the ears.
