    Blepharoplasty

    Introduction

Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic surgery designed to rejuvenate the area around the eyes, providing a fresher and more rested appearance. It is performed on healthy men and women who want to refresh the overall look of the eye region.

This surgery involves removing excess skin and correcting the protrusion of fat pads in the upper and lower eyelids. It can be performed in combination with other procedures, such as a brow lift, facial fat grafting, facelift, or other body procedures.

    Procedure
The incision on the upper eyelids is made in the natural crease of the upper eyelid, allowing for the removal or repositioning of excess skin, muscle, and fat. For the lower eyelid, the incision can be made just below the lower lash line or inside the lower eyelid. This allows for the removal or redistribution of excess fat and, in some cases, the removal of excess skin.

    Recovery
The recovery period is quick, and scars are generally completely imperceptible. After surgery, ointments and cold compresses will be applied to minimize swelling and discomfort. It is common to experience swelling and bruising during the first two weeks.
