    Calf Augmentation with Implants

    Introduction
    ● The purpose is to increase the volume of the posterior part of the calf by placing an implant.
    ● The augmentation involves inserting a prosthesis through a 5 cm incision below the knee, creating a pocket between the fascia and the underlying muscle to place the prosthesis.
    ● During recovery, the patient must wear a compression bandage for approximately two weeks or as directed to control swelling. Absolute rest is recommended for the first two days, keeping the legs elevated and avoiding excessive strain on the calves.
